Overview
ADEPT™ is a powerful enterprise-wide solution for managing the complex and dynamic operating conditions of paratransit/demand-response transportation. Its purpose is to AUTOMATICALLY manage resources for optimized performance using parameters and constraints that are both selected by the customer and that are inherent to paratransit/demand-response operations in general.
ADEPT™ is a fully integrated system combining Customer Registration and Eligibility, Trip Reservations, Automated Scheduling, Reporting, Communications, and Database Management into a seamless and dependable package.
The core component of ADEPT™ is an advanced routing optimization engine designed to manage demand-responsive transportation systems in the most efficient manner possible. The system automates many aspects of scheduling, routing and dispatching normally associated with what only humans can do, greatly easing the burden on all personnel while improving efficiencies and service.

It is characterized by ease-of-use, high-speed performance, accuracy, and flexibility. The system operates on an n-tier client/server network using Windows NT/2000 Server and SQL Server DBMS. It incorporates Geographic Information System (GIS) into the scheduling process.
