Medicaid Electronic Reporting Module
With this optional module, ADEPT™ generates and transmits Medicaid claims automatically. Submitting transportation claims to your Medicaid Gateway Provider (such as Consultec) is as easy as generating any of ADEPT™'s standard reports, and is fully integrated, eliminating the need to re-enter any information.
Automatic Vehicle Location System (AVL) and Mobile Data Computer (MDC) Module
An increasing number of ADEPT™ customers have recognized the significant benefits and enhanced customer service provided by incorporating Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) and Mobile Data Computer/Terminal (MDC) features to improve functionality in order to provide a significant positive impact on customer service, operational efficiency and workplace satisfaction.
The ADEPT™ design philosophy toward open architecture, in combination with highly skilled and experienced staff, allows ADEPT™ to interface with a wide variety of AVL/MDC systems from multiple vendors. Each AVL/MDC vendor has their own approach to design and function and ADEPT™ has the flexibility to be delivered to accommodate most setups. The selection of telemetry used for transmitting data from the vehicle back to the dispatch center (radio vs. CDPD, internet vs. hardwire) does have some effect on how the communications protocols will be configured, but ADEPT™ does not constrain customer options in that regard.
The AVL/MDC Module, in conjunction with the support equipment, gives ADEPT™ the ability to pinpoint the locations of vehicle's, and to send and receive trip information and messages. Some of the features of the module include:
AVL
- Receive GPS coordinate location of a vehicle’s current position
- Receive GPS history coordinate locations of a vehicle’s past positions
MDC
- Logon/Logoff for a driver starting a shift
- Send/Receive Trips information for a vehicles entire run
- Send/Receive specific information on an individual trip
- Send/Receive ongoing status changes for a Trip (pickup, dropoff, noshow, cancel)
- Send/Receive canned or free form text messages
- Receive delivery status of updated trip information
- Receive delivery status of sent messages
- Receiving Emergency status from a vehicle
- Receive time/date stamp for each transaction
- Some features may be disabled at certain sites due to the capabilities of the MDC’s themselves.
Fixed Route Eligibility Interface Module
The Fixed Route Interface Module allows access to information regarding fixed route stops and serves to perform ¾ mile ADA eligibility checks. It accepts fixed route files in Hastus or similar format, and allows the user to do the following:
- Display the site’s fixed routes as a series of points (bus stops) connected with straight lines, overlaid on the desired trip.
- Support time-dependent ADA service boundaries based on the days and hours of fixed route service.
- Alert the user if a trip origin or destination is outside the ADA service boundary, and prevent the trip from being scheduled without a supervisor’s override.
- Click on a fixed route stop to display information about the stop (routes using the stop, stop times, accessibility, etc.)
Brokerage Module
The Brokerage Module allows ADEPT™ to preferentially schedule a trip onto the least-cost option from among several service providers, based on the service providers’ capacity and cost. Parameters for each service provider can be configured by the System Administrator such that their trip allocation can be determined by factors including:
- Service zone of pickup or dropoff address, time of day, and day of week
- Cost of trip based on flat rate, time-dependent rate, or mileage rate
- Service provider capacity
Web Client Module
The Web Client Module, in conjunction with a provider-supplied Web Server, allows clients to query and review their own pending trips. Some of the features of the Web Module include:
- Client can log in with Internet connection, using user ID and password.
- Client can review his/her own pending trips, including current-day trips.
- Client can instantly cancel his/her own pending trips.
- Client can request a Reservation and receive confirmation by email.
IVR Module
The IVR (Interactive Voice Response) Module, in conjunction with a third-party IVR system, offers similar functionality to the Internet Module:
- Client can dial up to review his/her own pending trips without provider intervention.
- Client can instantly cancel his/her own pending trips.
- Client can request a Reservation and receive confirmation via automatic callback.
